Postdoctoral Research Position in Stem cells and Regenerative Medicine Research available at Pfizer, Cambridge, UK.
A postdoctoral research position is currently available for a cellular biologist with a strong background in stem cell biology and/or developmental biology. The primary focus of the position will be to develop and apply approaches to identify small molecules that direct the differentiation of human embryonic stem cells towards retinal cells. As part of a team, you will have the opportunity to apply molecular biology and / or high content cellular imaging approaches to characterize cell lineage, and will have access to the proprietary Pfizer compound collection.
Who can Apply?
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and background in stem cell or developmental biology.
- Expertise in the techniques typically associated with stem cell biology, including cell culture, immunocytochemistry, cellular imaging/microscopy and molecular biology.
- Good record of external presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals
- The ability to work independently as well as working closely and collaboratively with other members of the team.
