IIAR PG Diploma program in Bioinformatics

IIAR is starting a one year Diploma program (Two semesters) in Bioinformatics with affiliation from Sardar Krushinagar Dantiwada Agriculture University (SDAU) from the academic session 2010.

Theoretical course work and extensive hands on projects will be provided in the frontier areas of genome analysis, computational biology, structural biology, drug design, etc.

Fees: Rs. 50,000/- per semester and boarding and lodging expenses will be extra.

Biochemistry and molecular biology: Industrial enzymes, development of recombinant clones for over-production of enzymes and metabolites; development of expression systems in bacteria and yeasts; bioenergetics and biological molecular machines; chaperone-mediated proteins folding of native and recombinant proteins; protein conformation study and structure-function relationship using biophysical methods; application of bio-informatic tools for development of bioprocesses.
