Biology Graduate Programmes – NCBS Bengaluru – TIFR Mumbai
Ph.D. and M.Sc. Programmes in Biology at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).
The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai are seeking talented students with primary degree in Basic Sciences, Engineering or Medicine to pursue graduate studies in their institutes. Graduate students are recruited into the programmes after a written test conducted at several centers nationally, followed by interviews held in Bengaluru (for NCBS) or Mumbai (for TIFR).
Courses Offered:
- Biology - Ph.D. (NCBS and TIFR), Integrated Ph.D. (NCBS and TIFR), M.Sc. by Research (only at TIFR)
- iBio - Interdisciplinary Biology (only at NCBS)
- M.Sc. (Wildlife Biology & Conservation) – (only at NCBS)
Students who expect to complete their degrees by July 2010 are eligible to apply.
Last date for applying for examination: October 16 (Friday), 2009
Examination date: December 13 (Sunday), 2009

The filled-in application form should be sent along with two passport size photographs (one pasted on the application and one stapled to it) and a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- drawn on State Bank of India in favour of National Centre for Biological Science payable at Bengaluru.
