Senior Manager Position Available at Unichem Laboraties in Goa.
Unichem Laboraties has opening for Senior Manager to lead a Microbiology/ Biotechnology Research team in Goa. The Job profile includes developing clones capable of generating bio similar products.
The thrust area is development of processes for bio similar products (such as insulin, interferon, erythropoietin, streptokinase, growth hormones but need not be the same) by using recombinant microorganisms. Presently E Coil is being used as host cell for this activity however organizing has plans to work on yeast and cell cultures. Lab is equipped to carry out cloning and sub cloning using plasmid vector, optimization of fermentation medium and other conditions to optimize output .It also has equipments to take up downstream processing of fermented products, such as super centrifuges, tangential flow filtration systems, cell disruptors. It has facility to carry out ion exchange, hydrophobic, gel filtration, affinity and reverse phase chromatography. It is equipped with various analytical instruments, which are required for establishing protein identifications.
Who can Apply?
- M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Microbiology with 8-13 years of industrial experience.
- Ability to lead a team of scientists in Microbiology/ Biotechnology.
