The National Centre for Biological Sciences and 100X Imaging, Inc. are organizing the 2nd Bangalore Microscopy Course during February 21st (Sunday) to 28th (Sunday), 2010. This course, taught by world leaders in biological microscopy provides didactic and hands-on training in state-of-the art light microscopy for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers. Research seminars on how microscopy can be used to address biological problems will be part of the program, along with an opportunity to do independent work or a mini-project in the last two days of the program. Preliminary schedule will be posted in October. Course students will have an opportunity to present a poster on current research project.

Who can Apply?

  • Senior Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Researchers.
  • Exceptions can be made for Junior Faculty and talented Undergraduates.

Course Fees:

  • The tuition fee for the course is US $600/- for participants applying from institutions outside India and Rs. 7000/- for participants applying from institutions within India.
  • The tuition fee includes all course materials, boarding and lodging.
  • Limited number of scholarships or travel grants are available.
  • Housing will be provided in comfortable rooms on the NCBS campus.
  • All meals will be provided during the course.
