The Eighth Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC 2010) to be held in Bengaluru, India
Annual forum exploring research, development and novel applications of Bioinformatics is to be held in IISc Bengaluru from January 18th (Monday) to 21st (Thursday), 2010. Researchers, academic and industrial practitioners gather together to discuss the conceptual and practical issues of bioinformatics. Topics of interests include Sequence analysis, Motif search/discovery, RNA analysis, Physical and genetic maps, Evolution and phylogeny, Protein structure analysis, Transcriptome, Proteomics, Ontologies, Population genetics/SNP/Haplotyping and Comparative genomics.
Keynote speakers in the conference are Prof.Daniel Gusfield from University of California- Davis, USA; Prof.Sorin Istrail from Brown University, USA; Dr.Alexey Murzin from MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK and Prof.Pinakpani Chakrabarti from Bose Institute, Kolkatta, India.
