Conference – Stem Cell Biology – New York
Stem Cell Biology Conference at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York.
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory along with Massachusetts General Hospital, Duke University Medical Center and HHMI/Carnegie Institution are hosting a special meeting on Stem Cell Biology starting on September 22 (Tuesday) to September 26 (Saturday), 2009. The meeting will focus on the basic biology of stem cells and the dynamic interactions between stem cells and their microenvironment or niche. Topics will include the mechanisms controlling stem cell proliferation, differentiation, pluripotency and reprogramming. Emerging concepts about the regulation of multipotent cells during early embryo development, tissue regeneration and tumor progression will be emphasized.
- Stem cell-niche interactions
- Imaging stem cell behavior
- Asymmetric cell division
- Epithelial, neural and hematopoietic stem cells
- Tissue regeneration and repair
- Lineage determination
