National Institute of Technology, Raipur is a technical institute of national importance conducting various U.G.,P.G. & Ph.D. programmes in engineering and technology. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following faculty positions:

Position Pay Scale
Professor Rs. 37400/- – 67000/- with AGP Rs. 10000/-
Essential Qualification:
For Candidates from Teaching:
Ph.D. with first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology
Experience: Ten years experience in Teaching / Research out of which five years must be at the level of Reader / Associate Professor or equivalent.
For Candidates from Industry & Profession:
First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology
Experience: Professional work which is significant & can be recognized* as equivalent to Ph.D. degree in appropriate branch of Engg./Tech. and ten years experience of which five years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of Reader / Associate Professor.

Desirable:
1. Teaching, Research, Industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organisation.
2. Published work, such as research papers, books and / or technical reports, patents filed / obtained.
3. Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of P.G. / Ph.D. Students or supervising R&D
projects in industry.
4. Demonstrated leadership in planning and organising academic, research, industrial and / or professional
activities.
5. Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities.

Associate Professor Rs. 37400/- – 67000/- with AGP Rs. 9000/-
For Candidates from Teaching:
Ph.D. with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology
Experience: Five years experience in Teaching / Research at the level of Lecture r / Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph.D.
For Candidates from Industry & Profession:
First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology with professional work which is significant and can be recognized* as equivalent to Ph.D. Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D. within a period of seven years from the date of appointment as Associate Professor.
Experience: Five years experience at a position equivalent to Lecturer / Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor Rs. 15600/- – 39100/- with AGP Rs. 6000/-
Essential Qualification :
First Class M.E. / M.Tech. in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology MCAFirst Class MCA or First Class M.E. / M.Tech. in a specialization of Computer Science and Engineering / Technology or Information Technology or relevant field.
Desirable: Candidates fulfilling the above criteria and having B.E. / B. Tech. InBiotechnology shall be given preference
Desirable:
1. Ph.D. in appropriate field and B.E./B.Tech. in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology
2. Candidates who have cleared the eligibility test (NET/SLET/SET) for Lecturers / Assistant Professors in the disciplines,wherever applicable.
Desirable: Candidates fulfilling the above criteria and having B.E. / B. Tech. InBiotechnology/Biochemical Engg. shall be given preference.

General Instructions:

4. Application in the prescribed format, downloaded from the website (www.nitrr.ac.in), should be submitted along with attested copies of certificates, testimonials and with a processing fee of Rs 500/- (NO FEE FOR SC/ST/PH CANDIDATES) by Demand Draft in favor of “Director, National Institute of Technology, Raipur” payable at Raipur. Candidates from abroad can also apply by using the downloaded application with processing fee of US $ 50 or equivalent @ Rs.50/- per U.S. $. 13
5. Reservation and relaxation as per Govt. of India norms are applicable. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC categories must submit the attested xerox copies of their certificates, obtained from revenue authorities not below the rank of tehsildar or from a first class magistrate of the place of origin of the candidate clearly authenticating the category
to which they belong. If called for interview, candidate must bring the original certificates.
6. Reservation for Physically Handicapped Category exists as per Govt. of India norms. Positions from this category will be filled up depending on the availability of the suitable candidates. Candidates may indicate this on their application forms and attach Xerox copies of necessary certificates from competent authority as applicable to Central Govt. Service norms.
7. The Institute has the right to set different as well as higher norms, while short listing, taking into the requirements of the departments. Mere fulfillment of the required qualifications and experience etc. does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview / selection.
8. The Institute has the right to call only the short listed candidates for interview and to fill up or not to fill up any of the posts.
9. The Institute may conduct written and / or Practical Tests for all the above posts and only those candidates who qualify the said tests will be called for interview.
10. All degrees of the candidate should be from recognized universities / institutes.
11. Candidates in Govt. service should send their applications through proper channel. The original application if routed through proper channel and is likely to be delayed, a photocopy of the application should be sent in advance before the prescribed last date. All candidates are required to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
12. No correspondence, whatsoever, will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
13. The application form without the attested copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials will be rejected without intimation. Also, applications received in inappropriate format will be summarily rejected. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
14. Right to Restrict: Where the number of applicants for a post is extraordinarily high, then the Institute has absolute right to restrict the number of applicants by fixing higher qualifications / short listing as yard stick granting eligibility for the Interview / Test.
15. Any change made in the provisions by MHRD/AICTE, Govt. of India will be considered deemed to be effective on the clauses of this advertisement.
