Job Description:
(1) General Position Objective
Responsible for
(1) Contributing in Developing and launching new Recombinant Antibody Products.
(2) Set up and run high throughput assays on antibody screening.
(3) Acting as the technical support for new product induction.
(4) Carrying out Molecular Biological studies.
(2) Extended Technical Objectives of the Position:
- Should be able to perform immunological assays such as ELISA.
- Should have the hands-on experience in Monoclonal Antibody screening such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting.
- Should be comfortable in carrying out the advanced molecular biological techniques.
- Experience in vector NTI or other Bioinformatic tools.
- Keep update with the current literature and patent searches related to products under development.
- Determine high level of professional expertise through familiarity with competitor products and attend the scientific seminars and meetings.
- Comply with all EHS regulations and procedures.
- Should own the responsibility for the projects assigned.
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Job Scope:
Position exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Job encounters recurring work situations with frequent variations from the norm, involving a high degree of complexity. Works on complex problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position. Mistakes in work could cause substantial data errors.
Work situations are often regular and recurring, but variations from the norm may occur. Job involves a moderate to high degree of complexity. Position may contribute to the development of new concepts.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Knowledge of the techniques in Molecular biology, tissue culture, immunological assays.
- Knowledge in robotics and liquid handling system are an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistics needed to maintain accurate records involving analysis & Documentation of results.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple and changing projects, as well as multiple and changing priorities and complete tasks quickly, efficiently, and according to assigned timelines.
- Ability to quickly master new skills, methods and tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express scientific results in a clear, concise manner.
- Knowledge of PC/computer systems; Experience in the use of word processing and Microsoft excel.
- Excellent skill as a team player, and an excellent ability to take supervisory direction.
