Duties and Responsibilities
Our Medical Science Liaisons establish, and maintain, a respectable company presence in the medical community. You are our external professional presence and so it is critical that we hire top-tier Medical Science Liaisons to represent us with industry’s Key Opinion Leaders and National Level Thought Leaders. The MSL will work in targeted medical centers in a five state area, and estimated overnight travel will be roughly 60-70%. You’ll call on research institutions as well as academia where job activities include, but are not limited to:
* Represent the Company at all pertinent events
* Support and participate in all necessary programs in the medical community
* Educate medical community, thought leaders, treatment advocates, and appropriate high prescribers on Company research initiatives
* When appropriate, share all of the recently presented and published clinical data on Company research
* Maintain a high frequency of interactions with all key people and organizations
* Identify, develop, and facilitate thought leaders in the medical community to speak on Company research
* Plan and organize venues for these thought leaders to share this information with other thought leaders and prescribers
* Communicate internally any trends in the market that may have an impact on Company research
* Interact with key people in the medical community to be aware of treatment trends or changes in treatment trends that could impact the Company
* Facilitate phase IV study completion and presentation
Job Requirements
* Minimum Education Requirements: PharmD, MD or PhD and 2+ years pharmaceutical industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
* Experience in immunology, hepatology or virology is very desirable.
* Knowledge of how to gain access with most well known key opinion leaders in the country is required, as well as the ability to engage them in scientific discourse about our company activities and the science behind our products.
* Ability to do 60% overnight travel.
