European Bioinformatics Institute invites applications for Scientific Data Curator job for the purpose of maintenance and extension of the IntAct molecular interaction database. The main task is the analysis of published literature on protein interactions and their integration into the IntAct database. The post holder will also interact with external data producers and international partner databases to ensure highest quality standards for IntAct data. An initial contract of 3 years will be offered to the successful candidate. This can be renewed, depending on circumstances at the time of review.
Who can Apply?
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related subject.
- Prior experience in database curation, analysis of protein interactions, molecular pathways or cellular
complexes is an advantage. - The successful applicant will be able to work independently and interact well within a team
environment. - Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a working knowledge of English are essential.
