Ocimum Biosolutions invites applications for the post of Sr. Scientist (Molecular Biologist)

Qualifications required:
A Masters or Phd in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry or related field or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience for our genomic services (microarrays, RT-PCR)
Summary of Duties:
- Plan a series of experiments testing several variables to demonstrate the feasibility of an idea or to develop a specific product after feasibility has been addressed.
- Develop new products using the Product Commercialization Process (PCP). This involves submitting product ideas, designing and testing ideas for feasibility and developing feasible ideas into products.
- Plan and execute development of chemical based cleaning/surface preparation products and investigation of competitors’ product structures applications and intellectual properties.
- Work with a cross functional team to plan, implement and document formulation projects originating from broadly stated objectives and coordinate interactions with internal and external personnel on product development, scale up and application matters. Responsible for several different technical projects in parallel.
- Responsible for project management of multiple projects.
Qualification:
- A Master or Phd in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry or related field
Required Experience:
- Expertise in isolating and working with RNA.
- Expertise in microarray services (Affymetrix and other platforms), labeling, hybridization, scanning, analysis.
- RT-PCR and quantitative PCR
- Good communication skills
- The ability to operate as part of a team.
- Fluent language skills in Dutch and English.
- o The ability to explain protocols and procedures to customers
