Essential Qualification: Bachelor degree/ Post Graduate in Life Sciences and advanced diploma in bioinformatic

Desired Profile:

Strong knowledge of the most common programs and software packages used in bioinformatics analyses
A good knowledge of statistics Strong knowledge of molecular biology as it relates to DNA sequences and good communication skills.
Knowledge of Java/XML will be an added advantage with 3+ years of experience performing duties similar to those listed below.

Responsibilites:

Preparation, maintenance, curation and analysis of data from genome sequencing projects.
Gene structure annotation including assessing different lines of computational evidence.
Gene function annotation including assigning informative names and classifying gene products by biological function
Data mining and analysis using various internal resources public databases and publications.
Interpretation of complex biological information
