Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from the persons of Indian Nationality for the following posts :
1. Scientist ‘C’ Post, Category : Unreserved, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.6600)
Eligibility:
M Sc in Botany or Geology
65% marks maximum
Experience:
Research experience in Micropaleontology of about 7years with emphasis on Calcareous/Organic Walled Microfossils / Ph D in relevant discipline +four years post-doctoral research experience in any of the above Microfossil groups..
Desirable Qualifications:
For those who have MSC In geology +additional subject as botany Bsc in botany need to have additional subject as geology
2. Scientist ‘B’(4 Posts, Category : 3 posts for Unreserved and 1 post for OBC), Scale of Pay : Rs. Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400)
Eligibility:
M Sc in Botany or Geology
65% marks maximum
Experience:
3 years research experience in Palaeobotany including Palynology (Precambrian Palaeobiology/Gondwana Megafossils and Palynology/Cenozoic Megafossils and Palynology/Quaternary Palynology/Marine Micropalaeobotany/Organic Petrology/ Hydrocarbon Exploration).
Desirable Qualifications:
For those who have MSC In geology +additional subject as botany Bsc in botany need to have additional subject as geology International journals with experience of working in multidisciplinary collaborative projects and Applicants should have publications of high standard in National/ International Journals.
Age Limit:
- 40 years for Scientist ‘C’
- 35 years for Scientists ‘B
- Relax able for sc/st for about five years
- And 3 years for obc
The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of the receipt of applications from the candidates i.e. August 20, 2009 and age relaxation for PH candidates will be as per Government of India rules ; provided further that in case of applicants already in service in any of the Institutions funded by the Government of India, the relaxation of age limit up to a maximum of five years shall be admissible.
