Duration:
5 years (Initially for a period of one year).
Eligibility:
Post Graduate Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Material/Science/Nanotechnology) or
M.Sc in Chemistry. Valid GATE/NET essential.
Experiance:
Research experience in catalysis and a good academic record with motivation for
excellence in research.
Fellowship:
Rs.15,000/-p.m. + HRA as per institute norms.
Successful candidates will be recommended for admission to the Ph.D programme of the department.
The broad research topics include:
1. Amorphous Silica-alumina based hydrocracking catalyst systems
2. Hydroesulfurization catalysis: Novel high active catalyst systems
3. Nanozeolites synthesis and application in refining catalyst systems
4. Synthesis, characterization of microporous-mesoporous composites materials and their catalytic
application for hydrocarbon conversions
5. Conversion of CO2 to chemicals
Note: The candidates will have access to the facilities of IOC, NCCR and Department of Chemical
Engineering of IIT for research.
- Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates.
- The Head of the Department has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement.
