Research Technician – Molecular Systems Biology – Gene Center Munich
Gene Center in Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany seeking Research Technician.
Research Position is available at Gene Center in Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany for students with strong interest in molecular genetics and biochemistry. The Project involves studies of regulation of gene expression in Drosophila development, using a combination of molecular genetic, biochemical, and computational approaches. The Research technician will focus on the mechanisms of protein-DNA interaction at enhancer/promoter elements and the integration of extracellular signals into transcriptional protein complexes.
Applicant Profile: Education as CTA/BTA/MTA or similar and experience in industry or academic research, particularly in molecular genetics and biochemistry. Must have excellent technical and multi-tasking skills, an enthusiastic approach towards new techniques, and the interpersonal skills to work within a diverse team of scientists.
Application Deadline: The position is available from September 1, 2009 and will initially be for two years, but we are interested in a longer term relationship. Interviewing of candidates will begin immediately, and continue until the position is filled.
