Scientist Position – ICMR – New Delhi
Scientist ‘D’ Position in Microbiology/ Public Health open at Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi.
The post is of a mid-level research manager in the Division of Epidemiology & Communicable Diseases at the ICMR Headquarter Office, New Delhi. Candidate is expected to assist experienced experts in field of health research to review the merit of proposed research project, monitoring the annual progress of on-going projects and evaluate their final reports. The Division has collaborative programmes with other Governmental, non-governmental, inter – governmental and international agencies. Besides supporting research projects it has a fellowship programme for post graduates and post-doctoral applicants. The Division also provides technical support to the Ministry of Health Family Welfare on issues of national and international importance.
Who can Apply?
- M.D. in Microbiology/ Preventive and Social Medicine/Community Medicine and 8 years research experience in the relevant areas.
- Upper age limit of 45 years as on October 30th, 2009.
- Knowledge of National Health Programmes related to Communicable Diseases.
- Understanding of current challenges and research opportunities to control of Communicable Diseases.
- Conducted good quality original research as evidenced by publications in indexed scientific journals.
- Scientific communication skills (verbal & written) as evidenced by presentations made and papers published at National and International Journals.
