Postdoctoral Position in Biochemistry open at University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa.
One postdoc position in Biochemistry is open for application in the GGKM Research Group at University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. The focus area of the research group is the chemical synthesis of inhibitors targeting HIV, Type II Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Cancer, TB, Epilepsy, Malaria and Hypertension. The position will start in Jan 2010 and will be for 2 years, depending on satisfactory performance in the first year.
Who can Apply?
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Biological Sciences obtained in last 3 years.
- Upper age limit of 35 years.
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in mammalian cell culture (human cell lines), biochemical, in vitro cell-based cytotoxic and apoptotic high throughput screening assays.
- Fluency in English and strong written and oral communication skills.
