Position: Senior Research Associate (Molecular Biology)

We are seeking to fill two Research Associate positions in ADVANTA. Become a member of one of our diverse teams of researchers utilizing natural genetic variation to improve valuable traits in field and vegetable crops.
Desired: We require self-motivated creative scientists able to work with minimal supervision to deliver basic information and applied methods to support commercial product development pipelines. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team that focuses on the genetic regulation of various quality traits.
Experience: Candidate should have experience with laboratory, field and greenhouse work; skill in collecting and analyzing experimental data; and ability to track and manage complex projects. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills for operating in a diverse team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Ph. D. (or be near completion) in Molecular Biology or scientific related field. Must have in depth understanding of trait genetics, physiology and biochemical pathways; hands on experience with experimental protocols in molecular biology; or Double Haploidy in crops or transformation and basic knowledge of plant genetics, QTL mapping, statistics, and experimental design.
