3rd workshop in Molecular Motors, Tracks & Transport is organized in Pondicherry during January 23rd (Saturday) to 28th (Thursday), 2010. The workshop will contain a combination of research and instructional talks. These talks are directed at Senior Researchers in the field, Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows and Physicists/ Applied Mathematicians interested in Modelling aspects of Molecular Biology.

Neuro School 2009 – Neuroimaging Course – IISER Pune
Neuro School 2009 - Course on Neuroimaging methods organized by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune.
3rd SERC School in Neurosciences titled “Imaging the Nervous System” is organized by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research at Pune during December 7th (Monday) to 21st (Monday), 2009. Neuroimaging methods have made tremendous progress in the recent years and have opened new opportunities for investigating the nervous system – from single neurons to behaving organisms. Imaging has become an indispensable tool for the study of neural development, function, clinical diagnosis and for understanding higher brain functions. This course will introduce the principles, practice and latest advances in neural imaging. Pioneering researchers from across the globe will serve as faculty and will spend substantial time interacting with participants. The course will cover fluorescence based activity imaging, visualizing nervous system development and plasticity in live animals, PET, MRI, fMRI and related techniques. Lectures will be supplemented with laboratory experience and demonstrations.
Who can Apply?
- Senior doctoral students, Postdoctoral fellows and young Faculty keen to pursue research in Neurosciences utilizing imaging methods.
- Exceptional M.Sc. students with demonstrable interest in Neurobiology may be considered.
